It should be no surprise that Katy Perry made 2014 her year. She ended 2013 with a No. 1 album and the lead single "Roar" not only debuted at No. 1 on The Music Nation's Top 100 Songs, but it also became her biggest hit to date spending 7 weeks at No. 1. She began 2014 with two more No. 1 songs from her album "Prism." First,  "Unconditionally" topped the chart for one week and that was followed by "Dark Horse" which featured rapper Juicy J. That song held the No. 1 spot for 4 weeks and ended up spending 40 weeks on the Top 100. "Dark Horse" became one of the longest charting songs on the Top 100 and also became the No. 1 song of 2014. 
"Prism" album and featured Katy is various costumes designed by Marina Toybina. The show begins with an Egyptian theme and moves through many different segments including a nod to the Broadway musical "Cats" which features Katy doing a quick cover of Madonna's infamous 90's No. 1 smash "Vogue." Their is an acoustic set mid show and of course, the finale which features Katy flying around the arena with balloons to "Birthday" and closing with the anthem "Firework."  
The Prismatic World Tour was one of the most successful tours of 2014 and was also won the Best Convert for a Large Venue in the 2014 Music Nation Awards.  
Katy was nominated for 6 Music Nation Awards this year. Her "Dark Horse" single earned the Best Pop Performance of 2014 and she also won the top award by being named The Music Nation's Artist of the Year.  
Katy followed those two No. 1 smashes up with the summer Top 5 hit "Birthday" and then in the fall, she scored her 5th consecutive Top 10 single from "Prism' when "This Is How We Do" cracked the Top 10 on The Music Nation's Top 100 Songs. 
Katy also embarked on the Prismatic Word Tour which  took her all over Europe, North America and down under to Australia. The tour was packed full of Katy's biggest hits plus new tracks on the
